How do I set up a private Mnet?

You need to run a MetaTracker. Here are the steps, in brief. This is new stuff and you may encounter difficulties. 1. Download and build the new version of the source code, v0.7. See the README file for instructions. You have to build it yourself from source. Unfortunately the officiaul v0.7, the one located at http://mnetproject.org/repos/mnet/, is not backwards-compatible with v0.6.2 clients. To run a MetaTracker which supports v0.6.2 clients, you’ll have to use the source code from http://mnetproject.org/repos/metatracker_for_old_network/. 2. Run it once so that it generates a “node.conf” configuration file. Shut it down. The node.conf file appears in your MNETCONFDIR directory, which defaults to being in your home directory and being named “.mnet”. Whenever you run it, start it with “python -OO”. The “-OO” tells python to skip assertions. This is good because it makes it go a tad faster, but it is also good because there are assertion failures in this version of the MetaTracker. 3.

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
