How Do I Set Up a Home Wireless Network Using Airport Base Station?

0

I am trying to set up a home wireless network using an Apple Airport Graphite 802.11b Base Station, my 800 mhz eMac 60GB, and my new Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 320GB. When I got everything set up, both computers recognized a “Springville” wireless network that was password protected. I called my ISP – US Cable, and asked them what they thought the problem was because both computers should have recognized a US Cable Wireless Network. The tech from US Cable said that my router – Aiport Base Station, may have to be reconfigured. I did not buy a new Airport Base Station, but ordered a used one from Amazon.Com because I thought it would be compatible with my Airport Card – which is the old card, not an extreme. The help I need is to know: Do I need to reconfigure my base station and how is that accomplished?, or, is there some other problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you!
