How do I set the state of counters in the GamePiece Palette that use prototypes?

If you want your pieces in the palette to start in a certain state, then in general, you can use key commands to put them in that state while you’re editing the module and save. However, if the pieces use prototypes, then the palette always loads with the default state of the prototype. To solve this, you can change the state of a trait within the prototype itself, rather than within each piece that uses it. In the properties of the Prototype, just right-click in the area immediately below the name of the prototype (where the view of the generated counter is displayed) to modify that traits in thePrototype. Here’s the annoying part. If the prototype doesn’t use any images, the space where you need to right-click has zero height. Try resizing the window to make it taller and it should appear as a white background.
