How do I set the jumpers on my old hard drive to slave?

The master/slace settings are only for IDE hard drive only. If that was an IDE hard drive there would be a diagram on the top of the hard drive or showing next to the pins where the jumpers would go. However you said your old hard drive is a SATA. A sata hard drive does not use master/slave setting as all SATA cable would only use one hard drive per SATA controller slot on the motherboard. BTW some SATA hard drive may have a slot for jumper on them but they are not for master/slave settings.
