• For 2006 and beyond, Little League Baseball, Incorporated has designated the age cutoff date for baseball to be April 30th of the current year. For softball, the age cutoff date has been designated as December 31st of the previous year. There are two places that the age cutoff dates need to be set. First, on the Setup and Defaults tab of the Program Preferences window, please make sure that the “Current Season Year” is set to 2006. The Baseball Player Cutoff Date should be set to April 30, 2006. The Softball Player Cutoff Date should be set to December 31, 2005 — note the 2005, NOT 2006. Second, each of the Division records contains its own age cutoff date. This way, if needed, the Default Age Cutoff Date on the Setup and Defaults tab of the Program Preferences window can be overridden. For Baseball divisions, the age cutoff date on each of the Division records should be set to April 30, 2006 and the age cutoff date for the Softball divisions should be set to December 31, 2005.
