How do I serve someone with a subpoena?

0

The court can subpoena him or you can through the clerk of the court. The Sheriff’s office serves all process or you can hire a private process company (they typically charge more) check the fee’s in your area for both. Leave adequate time for the subject to be served (process servers are not always sucessfull the first time). It sometimes takes multiple attempts to get a subject served. Try to provide both home and work addresses and any phone numbers for the recipient so he is easy to locate. Where I worked we served subpoena’s, divorce papers, evictions and child support. Basically paperwork nobody wanted to get.
