While composing a message in a New Message Window, you can choose whether you want use plain-text or format your message in HTML by using Netscape Composer. In the New Message Window, if Netscape Composer appears in the message composition area, you are sending an HTML message. If the changes were made in the preferences before you open a new message, then there is no need to worry about this feature, because it is already set to default. But, were you to leave the default option checked in preferences, then you would need to do the following each time you want to send plain-text:In the Composer, choose: – view – options pane – at the lower right you will find a drop-down menu allowing you to change to the desired format. Additionally, there is an icon to the left of the addressing field that will bring you to the options.
