How do I select an academic advisor from the Psychology Department?

0

Students may request an academic advisor in the Psychology Department based upon faculty availability and a matching of interests. To request an academic advisor in the Psychology Department, complete the following steps: • Retrieve a Change of Advisor Card from Academic Advising at either campus. Complete this form, but leave blank the new advisor name and signature sections. • Approach a faculty member and ask if they would be willing to serve as your academic advisor. Students are encouraged to meet with their potential advisors in person to better facilitate the academic advising process. • If a faculty member is available and agrees to be your advisor, he or she must complete and sign your Change of Advisor Card. Faculty will ensure that the Change of Advisor Card is delivered to the appropriate Academic Advising office. If you do not know who to ask in the Psychology Department to be your academic advisor, please contact the Department Coordinator for suggestions at aflagerwaar@c
