How to enter a chat room from Yahoo Messenger: 1. At the top of the Yahoo Messenger friends list is a bar with the following options: ‘Messenger’, ‘Contacts’, ‘Actions’, ‘Help’. Click the one that says ‘Messenger’ and a menu will drop down. 2. Slide down to ‘Yahoo Chat’ and a smaller menu will appear to the side. 3. Slide over and click ‘Join a Room’. A new box will pop up with lots of choices. Major categories are listed on the left, with groups of rooms and individual rooms listed on the right. You can click the + to open more choices on either side. 4. Make a choice from the list on the right, then click ‘Go to Room’ on the bottom of the box. 5. A window will open with an ad in the center and a progress bar across the top that shows the application loading. When the bar is solid blue click the white button marked ‘Enter Chat’. 6. The chat room will open but you have to click the blue link before you are actually in the chat room. Clicking the link will open a window in your browser.
