How do I scan text using OmniPage Pro 8?
These are quick steps to get you on started… • First off, login to Scanner3 PC scanning station. Double-Click on OmniPage Pro 8.0. When it loads, click on the Auto button. • Select Scan Image, click Next. • Select the appropriate page layout, click Next. • Select retain font & paragraph formatting, click Next. • Say ‘yes’ to check OCR results before exporting, click Next. • Choose Save to Disk, now click Finish. • Now you have to make sure you place your text page face-down toward the top-right corner on top of the scanner, then press OK to begin scan – the scan & recognition may take a moment. • OCR (“Optical Character Recognition”) will begin recognizing the page contents, and, when that is finished, you will be prompted to begin the spell-check. Completing the spell-check is a worth-while step; but if you want to skip the spell-check click Close. • A dialog box will ask you if you want to scan any more pages – do not answer yet. If you want to scan more pages, place the next page
