How do I safely store breast milk?
Many places have varying answers, because many health regions (including my own) choose to use the smallest amount of time they hear from any source just to be on the safe side.. it’s a good idea to let a little of your milk go sour so that you can identify bad milk. Here is LLL’s guideline, which I use and haven’t spoiled any milk yet. Storing milk in 2-4 ounce amounts may reduce waste. Refrigerated milk has more anti-infective properties than frozen milk.
