A. TabletInputService is designed not to run automatically in server SKUs when the client pack is installed. Client pack installs all of the components in the platform so any of the Tablet client applications can run on a server as well. The Tablet Input Service listens for PnP notification that an external digitizer is plugged in. To enable the Tablet Input Service on a server, use the System Configuration Utility. From the Start menu, select Run. Type in “msconfig” and press Enter. Select the Services tab, find the services named “HID Input Service”, select the checkbox beside it, and then click Apply. Close the utility.
