How do I retrieve “lost” files from my Hard Drive?
hi brian, new commandment thou shalt not look for lost files the reson is by the time you find it your system is completely corrupt i know it’s hard cause i have found myself doing it but just stop what you are doing and think now why am i looking for a needle in a hay? don’t you know that you have one million two hundred files in your computer so how can you find that one file. now let’s find that file without searching hit start>programs>accessories>system tools scrol down to system restore there you will see a calender hit the first lit number to your left and your system will restore then reboot now your file is back. but let’s say it is hiding from you go to control panel to add/remove scrol down the list and see if you see it if you do not find it here then in your upper left corner it will say upgrades installed scrol there to see if you see it. if you do not see it here then exit to desktop go to my computer and double click in C:\ and look for windows there if you do not see i
