Creative ZEN MP3 players occasionally malfunction, which prevents the users from listening to their music. The malfunction is often caused by an error in the device’s software. To clear the error from the software, you need to restart your Creative ZEN MP3 player. Some errors freeze the device, which renders the buttons inoperable. In those instances you need to reset the device to restart it. Press and hold the power switch on the right side of the MP3 player down until the “Shutting Down” message appears on the screen.
