How do I resolve DNS problems with new Toshiba laptops and dlink router over WIFI?
Reset your router to its factory defaults so that you start with a clean sleeve. Configure your router for the internet. If you are using a dynamic IP address from your ISP, you do not need to configure anything on your router most likely, as it will receive its settings via DHCP from your modem. If you are using a static IP address from your ISP, follow the procedure provided by your ISP to set up your internet connection. Configure DHCP on your router for its clients. Now that your router is configured, connect a laptop via a network cable to your router. Make sure that the network adapter of your laptop is set to DHCP, so that it will receive an IP address from your router automatically. See if you can browse the internet on your laptop. If you can, there is no issue with DNS. If you cannot, you will need to change the configuration of your router. Most likely you will need to add the DNS of your ISP manually to your router.
