First, tighten your gas cap. Believe it or not the cap not being tight (three clicks when closing) may cause the light to come on. Second, the light may reset itself. The system is programmed to reset itself if it does not see the condition which caused it to go on in the first place once a given number of “drive cycles” have been completed. If the first or second might be the problem, give it some time, it takes a while for the system to reset and it will depend a great deal on how much driving you do before that happens.
