How Do I Reset My Computer To An Earlier Date If My System Restore Isn Working?
System Restore is the component of your operating system that will allow you to restore your computer to an earlier time. Where System Restore is currently non-functional, you can complete the same procedure by first repairing System Restore by using the OS repair tools on your installation CD. This will enable you to thereafter use the program to restore your computer. Insert the Windows installation CD in your computer and restart it. Press any key to boot from CD and select your language, keyboard and currency preferences. Click on “Repair your computer.” This will repair the System Restore feature. Open “Start” and type “System Restore” into the “Search” box. Press “Enter.” Click “Use a different restore point,” select the restore point you wish to use, and press “Next” to restore your computer.
