How do I request access public records maintained by the Indiana Department of Education?
Requests for public records maintained by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) must be submitted in writing, signed and mailed/faxed to: Office of Legal Affairs Indiana Department of Education Statehouse, Room 225 Indianapolis, IN46204 Fax: 317-232-0744 IDOE does not accept public records requests by e-mail I.C. 5-14-3-3(a). A $.10 per page charge will be applied for photocopying standard-sized sheets of paper (I.C. 5-14-3-8(c). Payment for copying costs may be required in advance of the documents being released I.C. 5-14-3-8(e).
