How do I request a credit limit increase?

0

My Capital One credit card gave me an increase after 3 months from $1,000 to $1,500 after making on time payments….If you are in good standing with them meaning no late payments, no overlimit, etc I would suggest requesting one in about 3-6 months after openning…..as far as going about it as another poster stated you can do it on their website, or call the customer service number…..what they will do is review your account with them, and check your credit report again to make sure all other credit obligations are being met as agreed…if all that is ok they may approve your request!!! Cross your fingers….

Login to HSBC MasterCard Online Access, click on “Request a Credit Limit Increase”, and fill out the request form. A letter will be sent to your mailing address explaining our decision if your requested credit limit is declined. If your requested credit limit is approved, you will see this amount on your next monthly statement. If you prefer, you may contact a customer care representative using the number on the back of your card. Cardholders who have received a credit limit increase within the past 6 months are not eligible.
