How do I report and pay the premier resort area tax?
The Department of Revenue makes every effort to identify and send returns to the retailers who are responsible to remit this tax. Identified retailers are sent quarterly Premier Resort Area Tax Returns (Form PRA-012) to file. However, the Department does allow annual returns to be filed by retailers who also file their state sales tax returns annually. If a retailer has received no contact from the Department regarding the filing of this tax, the retailer should contact the Department at (608) 266-2776 or through e-mail at sales10@revenue.wi.gov.

Beginning in February 2009, the premier resort area tax may also be reported using My Tax Account, a new online service. To use My Tax Account, you will need to apply for and obtain a logon ID and password from the Department of Revenue. Please watch the Department of Revenues web site at www.revenue.wi.gov for more details on the transition to this new service, including information about how to obtain your logon ID and password.
