How do I report a “road rage” incident or reckless driver?
If the offending vehicle is following you, or if you can safely follow it and you have a cell phone, call Dispatch at (303) 441-4444. The Operator will give you directions and request that you stay on the line if possible. If you would like to file a complaint after an incident, call Dispatch and a Patrol Officer will contact you back for follow-up. You may also come into the Police Department to make a report in person during normal business hours. Important information for a report will include: Time, Date & Location of the incident License plate of the offending vehicle Description of the vehicle including any significant damage Description of the offending driver to include an estimated age, race, recognizable facial features such as hair color/length, facial hair, prescription eyeglasses, etc. Other possible witnesses to the incident. You may need to testify against the offending driver if the issue goes to court, so it is very important that you can positively identify the driver
