How do I replace broken tip cones on a multichannel Transferpette?
It depends. In general there are three different generations of Transferpette-8/12: 1. First generation pipettes. These instruments have a yellow volume adjustment knob, and an ejector cap made of one piece of clear plastic. These instruments are in excess of 15 years old, and parts instruments are no longer available. 2. Second generation pipettes. These instruments have gray volume adjustment knobs, and ejector caps which have a clear window for the volume display. In addition, these instruments have manifold housings (the flat lower section of the pipette) on which both sides are symmetrical. These instruments require the replacement of the entire nose cone assembly.
