How do I replace an oil filter seal ring?
PrepareGather all the needed supplies, including an oil seal filter seal ring, floor jack, oil or oil filter wrench and funnel. Run the engine for 5 minutes to heat up the oil so it drains faster. Jack up the car. Slide underneath, and place a drain pan underneath the oil tank and drain the oil.Replace the SealRemove the oil filter and gasket. Remove the old oil filter seal ring. Coat the new ring with oil. Hold the new filter in place, and replace the filter and gasket.FinishPour new oil into the oil tank to replace the oil drained. Put the car in neutral and start it, running it for five minutes to check for leaks.
