The Volkswagen Cabrio is one of those vehicles that has the fuel pump mounted in the tank. The pump for its 2.0-liter engine must be replaced as a complete unit. Like many foreign models, however, the vehicle is designed so you can access the pump from the car’s rear compartment. You don’t have to worry about siphoning fuel out of the tank and removing the tank from the car to change the pump. You still need to take care of the fuel pressure beforehand.
