Renewing your Jamaican passport is a process that can take up to a month, depending on your closest Jamaican Mission. Citizens of Jamaica living at home or abroad need to renew their passports every 10 years in order to keep them current. Visit Jamaica’s Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency website to find the application online, or ask for one at your nearest Jamaican Consulate or Embassy. Download and print the application form for first-time or renewal passports from the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency of Jamaica (PICA). Fill out sections A through F of the application, including information about your current passport status in the section “Particulars of Most Recent Passport.” Check the box in the “Declaration” section to state that you have surrendered all previous passports, except for your current one, which will be enclosed with the application.
