your cannot remove windows from the drive, it is your operating system, the only way that you can do this is as follows, insert your CD that came with your computer that says operating system, and then turn your computer off and reboot from CD, then when the operating system boots choose to do a clean install, and then you will be ask to format disk either fat 32 or ntfs and this is where the reformatting a disk comes in however you can reformat with either just remember if you format with fat 32 you can upgrade or convert this to ntfs but you can not with any luck go the other way ntfs to fat 32, you must back up ALL your files to CD or on the net, as this will wipe clean your disk, if you are referring to partions on your disk the you will need to find out what size disk you have, then you take and divide this number by the number of partitions you need this gives you the size for each partition.
