W32.Spybot doesn’t do much damage to your computer, but puts you in something called a “botnet,” which allows a hacker to command your computer to bombard a server with packets. Many of these computers can cause severe damage. If you experience a slower Internet connection, especially when you are uploading files, you are experiencing one of the sure signs that tell you that you are infected with W32.Spybot. Go to your task manager by pressing “CTRL,” “ALT” and “Delete” simultaneously on your keyboard. Click on the tab labeled “Processes” and search for the following files: Bling.exe, Netwmon.exe and Wuamgrd.exe. Right-click each of these files and click “End Process.” Go to your Start menu and click “Run.” Write “regedit” in the space provided and click “OK.” Navigate to the following path using the left side of the window: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\KAZAA\LocalContent. Delete the key called “dir0” on the right side of the window by pressing “Delete” or “Del” on your keyboard.
