Answer Hi Chad, In order to remove the item from the classic start menu, you will need to edit the Windows registry but first the standard warning: Editing the Windows registry is a dangerous risk and doing something incorrectly can make your Windows system unbootable or unstable, if you are not comfortable editing the registry, please find someone who is-if you decide to continue, you do so at your own risk. To fix this, click start, run, type Regedit and click OK, now navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer Look in the right hand pane for NoRecentDocsMenu and if it’s there, double click it and set it’s value to 1. NoRecentDocsMenu value may not exist by default. If so, create a new value of type REG_DWORD and set it’s data to 1 That should do it.
