This is because it does not contain amonia (as do some floor cleaners). Cats and dogs (all animals really) pass amonia in their urine and when using products to clean wee up will leave this product behind. Your cat will think that it is ok to pee in the spot you have cleaned because it mistakes the amonia in the cleaning product for it’s own product that he/she has passed there. Washing detergent does not contain it so it stops the cat from peeing there in future. I know some sad facts and apologise to you!
