How do I remove the mould smell from a waxed cotton jacket?
Hi. I bought an old Belstaff waxed cotton jacket on ebay, and it stinks! It’s not just the fabric inner lining that smells, but the actual waxed cotton too. The instructions say to hand-wash in cold water without detergents, but this did nothing to remove the smell. It also says not to dry-clean in order to preserve the oil/wax coating. Any ideas appreciated, Pat.
