On Firefox, just go to View and then Toolbar and uncheck the Google toolbar. Voila! its not there anymore.

Your Acer Aspire comes with the version Firefox that has Google Toolbar by default… if you want to uninstall it completely… just download a normal version by clicking this link http://www.spreadfirefox.com/node&id=243… or you can also just deactivate the toolbar by clicking View >> Toolbars and unticking Google Toolbar.
