How do I remove the crankshaft pullley without using the proffestional tool?
I have a 1992 Subaru Legacy and I am trying to replace the timming belt myself. I have removed everything but I am stuck in removing the crankshaft pulley. Can anyone please give me some advise on how to remove it since it keeps rotating everytime I try to unlock the nut in the middle of the crankshaft pulley.if there are cheap tools, where can I get it and what is the name of the tool that I should use/buy. Thanks, I preciate your input. A: If it’s an auto tranny, the impact wrench is the only way to go besides removing the starter and holding the flywheel there with a bar.
