Air Out the JacketHang the polyester nylon jacket in a shaded area outside, on a clothesline or deck rail to air out. Turn the jacket inside out after two to three hours to allow the inside fabric to release smoke smells.Washing the JacketFill a sink with cool water and 1 tbsp. of laundry detergent. Place the jacket into the soapy water. Agitate the jacket with your hands in the detergent water. Drain out the water and replace with clean fresh water. Rinse the jacket two or three times in cool water until soap residue is removed from the jacket. Squeeze excess liquid from the jacket. Launder the jacket according to the care instructions.
