How do I remove Olive Oil from Salmon off of my NEW Granite Counter Top? PLEASE HELP!?

Do not use heat or harsh cleaners on your granite. EVER! If the oily stain is really bad and noticable use baking soda, dry in a little mound on top of the oily spot to absorb the oil and the odor. It may take several applications but it worked for me when candle wax left a large oily mark on my granite counter. Be very careful on how you clean granite and get a good cleaner from your local home improvement store or from the installation company that did the counter.

My best guess would be wipe off excess with paper towel or cloth, then standard white vinegar (this will cut the oil with no damage to the surface), then whatever you would normally use to clean the rest.
