How do i remove oil stains from leather?

0

If you have an absorbent leather (aniline style) and the stain is in the leather then there is nothing you can do to ‘clean’ the grease/oil out, you would need to use a professional degreaser to extract the oil from the leather. This may also remove colour which would then need replacing. If you use a good quality leather protector (one that works) you will find that this will inhibit the absorption of oil and also make the leather easier to clean. If you have a pigment style leather the oil should clean off the surface and would only be a problem if it has been allowed to sit there for a long time. Again a protector will help to inhibit this absorption. http://www.LTTsolutions.
