How do I remove oil from concrete driveway, if I don have any kitty litter on hand?
Concrete is porous, if it wasn’t sealed prior to this spill, I’m afraid you will always have a spot. There are commercial cleaners avaliable, but in my experience ( I used to finnish concrete in high school) they won’t get the entire spot Sawdust will work to absorb it, anything that is fibrous to contain and sop up the remaining oil. Powerwashing afterwards, with a solution of tsp and water will remove some more of the oil, but is detrimental to the environment unless you can contain the waste water. Had the concrete been sealed, it would have been a mop up operation only.
