There are 4 nuts connecting the fan/fan clutch assembley to the water pump.Loosen them first with a box end wrench,then loosen the alternator,remove the belt,remove the 4 nuts and you will have access to the water pump.You will most likely have to remove the plastic fan shroud to get the parts out of the engine compartment.

Engine Fan REMOVAL & INSTALLATION 4.3L, 5.0L and 5.7L Engines Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the radiator fan shroud. Remove the drive belt, if necessary. Remove the four fan clutch-to-water pump pulley nuts and lift out the fan/clutch assembly. Remove the four fan clutch-to-water pump pulley nuts and lift out the fan/clutch assembly Remove the fan clutch bolts and separate the fan from the clutch. To install: Install the fan on the fan clutch and tighten the bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm). Position the fan/clutch assembly on the water pump pulley. Tighten the nuts to 18 ft. lbs. (24 Nm). Install the fan shroud. Connect the battery cable.
