How do I remove Icons from the desktop without removing the Programme [not shortcuts]?
I find the best way to keep my desktop tidy and clear of icons i don’t use, is to create a new folder on the desktop. Right click a blank space on the desktop, hover over new and click folder,. A yellow folder will then appear on the desktop. Right click this folder and click rename (name it anything you like). Then simply drag and drop all the icons you don’t want on the desktop into it. When you then later want the icons for some reason, click that folder and there they all are.
