How do I remove dry latex paint from clothing?
Treat the latex paint stain as soon as possible because it will become more difficult to remove over time. If the clothing has been washed and dried in the laundry, the stain may be impossible to remove.Saturate the stained area of the clothing with a stain pre-treatment product. Pour a small amount of heavy-duty laundry detergent onto the paint and rub it gently to loosen the stain. Wash the clothing in your washing machine as you would normally.Pour 1 cup of bleach into 1 gallon of cool water into a plastic tub. Soak the clothing in the diluted bleach for 15 minutes if the latex paint remains after washing. Use color-safe bleach for colored fabrics and regular chlorine bleach for whites. Rinse the clothing in cool water after soaking to remove the bleach.
