How do I remove contact paper once it has gotton wet?

Use a hair dryer to dry the contact paper. Use the hottest hairdryer setting possible. Focus the heat on one corner of the contact paper. After 30 seconds, move the hairdryer to another area and allow the adhesive to soften with the heat. Turn off the hairdryer and use the edge of a knife to peel up the corner of the contact paper. Peel back as far as it will go without being overly resistant. Apply heat from the hairdryer again so the adhesive loosens where you are peeling it back. Place the heat on the underside of the contact paper. Peel back the paper again as far as it will go. Continue this process until all the paper is removed. Spray on a mild dishwashing soap and water mixture to the area and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes. Scrub with a sponge if necessary, then rinse the sponge and clean wipe the area clean with the moistened sponge.
