Most likely, the door frame is nailed to the rough framing of the doorway. Remove the moulding around the doorway, and you should be able to see where it’s attached. You should be able to run a hacksaw between the door frame and the rough frame to cut the nails or screws that are holding it. Remove the old door frame and set the new one in place; it may already have the moulding attached to one side. Shim between the door frame and rough opening for plumb and square, and nail it in 3 or 4 places on each side.
