How do i remove an 87 IROC-Z oil pan?

its a 350 TPI unit, has i think an 8 in. sump on it, but i cant for the life of me figure out how to get the pan out without moving the tranny back or pulling the engine up……..if theres a way to do it, id really appreciate if you guys could help me out!
