How Do I Remove Action Buttons From A Powerpoint Presentation?

The real question (I think) is not how to remove the action buttons but how to allow clicking to go to the next slide without them. There are two possibilities. One is that you really have action buttons, and the other is that you have the standard buttons that come up (and are sort of greyed out) when you move the mouse in a normal presentation. There are also two possibilities as to why you can’t click to advance. Either you are in Kiosk mode or your slides are set to not advance on click. Try going to the Slide Show menu and choosing Set up show. If “presented at a kiosk” is selected, then select “Presented by a Speaker.” If that doesn’t work, go to the Slide Show menu and choose Slide transition. On the right side of the screen, make sure the box for On mouse click (under “Advance Slide”) is checked and click Apply to All Slides. One of these should allow you to click on the screen to advance to the next slide. –David — David M.
