How do I remove a solid stain from a wood deck?

If you can elaborate a little, I may be able to help. Cont.: Soaking with turpentine will soften the behr stain, but because this is a wood deck, any chemical you use to try to soften the stain will itself stain the wood even deeper into the grain. You may be better off sanding the deck. A floor sander (drum type) is something you could rent and would be very efficient. You may have to use a palm sander to get into the corners. Another advantage of sanding is that it will give you a fresh, clean, smooth deck surface to work with. Hope this helps.
