Is it a latex paint or an oil based paint? Paint stains that have dried are almost impossible! The problem is that anything strong enough to remove the paint could also damage the material. I’m not sure if this will work, but try a cleaner called Spray 9 (that’s the name in Canada – might be Formula 409 maybe in the US??). Test the fabric first of course, because this is a powerful cleaner. If the fabric can handle the cleaner, it is about the best cleaner I’ve ever used. Whatever solvent you used with the paint itself may work and then wash the area thoroughly. Dry cleaning fluid is another option to try. These suggestions may work: Paint – Oil Base – Sponge stains with turpentine, cleaning fluid or paint remover. Pre-treat and wash in hot water. For old stains, sponge with banana oil and then with non-flammable dry cleaning solvent. Wash again. Water Base – Scrape off paint with dull blade.
