How do I remove 2003 s10 ZR2 fender flares??
Hi everyone. I have a 2003 s10 ZR2. I have to remove the flares because there’s some rust on the rocker panels under the flares that needs to be fixed now before it gets bad and the rubber seal on one flare keeps popping out and needs to be fixed. I also bought some molded splash guards that I painted and I want to paint the flares to match without having to mask the whole truck. On the rear, I removed 7-7mm hex screws and the flare still wont budge at all. I read something on EHOW about unsnapping the flare from a lip or something to that nature but after tugging, pushing, pulling and cursing, still no go. So I went onto the front to see if it would unsnap easier. I removed 6 of the 7mm screws and again it was like it was glued on, or something. Is there something I am missing, that someone with experience in removing these could shed some light on me please? I hate to reef on them too much and end up breaking the *%$@#* thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
