How do i relinquish my parental rights?
You cannot just sign your rights away without a good reason. The ones you stated are far from that. A judge has to grant termination of a parents rights. Almost all will not grant termination unless the other parent is remarried and the new spouse is willing to adopt the child and take financial responsibility. A judge will not leave a child fatherless or without a fathers support. Sounds to me like you consider your first child a burden and would rather just write him off. I’m sure a judge would see it the same way. In that case,your petition for termination would be denied. When you only see your child three times a year he isn’t going to listen to what you have to say. By 6 years old he already knows that he isn’t that important to you. Lying is a way of getting your attention. The judge could terminate your rights but not your obligation for child support. That might be the best solution.
