How do I reinstall Internet Explorer and still keep my preferences and favorite links?

In windows Vista, favorites are saved in the folder: C:/Users/(your name here)/favorites I’ve never needed to reinstall IE so I’m not sure if during a reinstall this folder is deleted, so I would make a backup copy of this folder just incase. Your preferences, I’m not sure. If you have any specific IE plug-ins you’ll want to save they can be found in the folder: C:/Program Files/Internet Explorer/Plugins You can back those up from here and then reinstall them after reinstalling IE.
