You cannot uninstall it because it is apart of the Microsoft Windows Software. However, it must not be in use if you are going to install another version of it. To completely exit out of the Internet Explorer program and to be sure that it is no longer in use, do this: Hit these three buttons together = Ctrl, Alt, and Delete. From here, your Task Manager should open up. Click on the “Processes” tab. Look for this running file: iexplorer.exe Once you find it, right-click it. Next, click “End Task.” If it asks you are you sure, just click ‘yes’ or ‘okay’. Now you are safe to install another version of Internet Explorer, preferably version number eight, as it is the newest one. Once you install a newer version of Internet Explorer, the newer version will overwrite the old files, so don’t worry about that.
