How do I register my dog with CKC (Canadian Kennel Club)?
The Canadian Kennel Club requires that the breeder register the dog in your name, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE TO YOU, within 6 months of completion of all terms of sale. A Canadian breeder cannot charge you extra for papers, and they are legally responsible for providing the registration (also important for you to know if you plan to breed). If you have purchased the dog, make sure you get a bill of sale, and if you don’t get papers in your name within the allotted time, make sure you let the CKC know about it. Feel free to emaial me if you have any questions.
